Color Palette Generator

Pick a base color or describe a vibe, and get a harmonious palette with hex codes.

Example

"Cozy autumn evening" → a warm base color with matching shades and an accent.

What is this tool for?

Picking one color is easy; picking four or five that actually work together is where color theory comes in — complementary hues, matching shades, the right amount of contrast. This tool builds that harmony automatically, either from a specific color you already have in mind or from a vibe you describe in words.

How to use it

Choose "Pick a Base Color" to start from a specific hex color (or a random one), or "Describe a Vibe" to have AI suggest a starting color from your description. Either way, the same color-theory math builds the full palette — click any swatch to copy its hex code, and use "Shuffle Variation" for a related alternative.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this free to use?

Yes, no account needed.

In vibe mode, does the AI pick my actual colors?

No — the AI only picks a single starting color from your description. Every other color in the palette is built from it using the same deterministic color-theory math as the base-color mode, so the palette logic is always consistent.

Can I use these colors commercially, like for a brand?

Yes — hex codes and color combinations aren't copyrightable, so feel free to use them anywhere.

What do the swatch labels mean?

Base is your starting color; Shade and Deep Shade are darker variations of it; Analogous is a neighboring hue; Complementary sits opposite it on the color wheel for contrast.
